On December 6, 2019, Minet Kenya was crowned the Best Insurance Brokerage Company of the year at the Think Business Insurance Awards held in Nairobi.
The firm also took home awards for the Best Insurance Broker in technology application and Most Customer-Centric Insurance Broker of the year.
Minet Kenya's Chief Executive Officer, Sammy Muthui, expressed his gratitude to the team and emphasized the company's commitment to investing in its brand to make it more appealing to Kenyans.
"Minet provides risk management and insurance solutions to individuals and businesses, and this award confirms our industry leadership in service provision and expertise," Mr. Muthui said.
He also acknowledged the role of insurance brokers in aiding the growth of the insurance sector and highlighted Minet's contribution to the sector's overall growth.
Minet Kenya has a strong working relationship with various underwriters, contrary to recent media reports, and aims to simplify insurance and bring more uninsured persons into the fold through technology.
The Think Business Insurance Awards, themed "Rethinking Insurance for Sustainability," highlighted the importance of enhanced risk management practices in the wake of disasters such as flooding, school fires, and cyber security threats.
