Published on December 9, 2019, Arsenal interim manager Freddie Ljungberg has faced a tough start to his tenure, replacing Unai Emery on an interim basis.
With two matches under his belt, Ljungberg has yet to taste victory, but he remains confident in his ability to turn around the club's fortunes.
Despite a slump to 11th place in the league standings, Ljungberg insists that the team can still make a push for the top four.
"I don't think we should stop talking about the top four. But for us it's about concentrating on what we're doing now," Ljungberg said in a recent interview.
However, not everyone shares Ljungberg's optimism. A section of fans and pundits have questioned whether he is the right man for the job, given the team's poor form.
Despite the criticism, Ljungberg remains committed to his role and is working to restore the team's confidence.
"100 per cent, otherwise I wouldn't be here. Of course it will be difficult. When confidence is low, it's low. We're going to work trying to get that back," he said.
Next up for Arsenal is a crucial match against struggling West Ham at the London Stadium on Monday night.
