Kenyan singer Akothee has been hospitalized for several days after falling ill during a performance at the Luo Night Festival in Rongo.
According to reports, Akothee was initially diagnosed with fatigue and fever, but her condition worsened, and she was rushed to the hospital.
On December 9, 2019, Akothee took to Instagram to assure her fans that she was recovering well and would be discharged from the hospital soon.
"Asanteni kwa maombi yenu, Ninawapenda, Nitatoka hivi karibuni," she wrote.
Akothee also revealed that she had undergone several medical tests, including a check-up for menopause, which she attributed to her current condition.
However, she clarified that she was not experiencing any symptoms of menopause, contrary to some of her fans' concerns.
"Hana wasiwasi ya ukomo wa hedhi," she assured her fans.
With her health improving, Akothee is expected to be discharged from the hospital soon and return home to her family.
