December 9, 2019 - In a candid interview with Parents Magazine, singer Bahati and his wife Diana Marua shared their experiences with marriage and parenthood.
As a couple, they have been through their fair share of ups and downs, including Diana's post-partum depression after giving birth to their first child, Heaven Bahati, on February 14, 2018.
At one point, Diana revealed that she felt extremely alone and exhausted taking care of their daughter while Bahati was away working. She recalled, 'It was so hectic because I was extremely exhausted and Bahati was not there. And when he came home, he would go straight to bed yet I expected him to help me out with the baby.'
Bahati, however, explained that he was working hard to provide for his family and was a new parent, adding, 'I was doing a lot of things at the time because I know it is my responsibility to provide for my family.'
Despite the challenges they faced, the couple has learned to communicate effectively and solve their issues amicably. They no longer seek their pastor's intervention whenever they have a misunderstanding, unlike during the early stages of their relationship.
