Gor Mahia captain Kenneth Muguna has been at the center of controversy after missing three Kenyan Premier League matches, leading to allegations that he feigned injury to avoid playing for the club.
However, coach Steven Polack has come to Muguna's defense, stating that the midfielder suffered an ankle injury that forced him to miss the matches against Kakamega Homeboyz, Bandari, and Ulinzi Stars.
Polack, who interacts with his players daily, is confident that Muguna was genuinely injured and has now fully recovered.
"Kenneth had an injury and he didn't fake it as some of the fans are trying to imply. He has now recovered fully and that is why he is playing for Harambee Stars," Polack said.
Polack also assured that Muguna will return to play for Gor Mahia after the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup, and urged fans not to judge him harshly.
It's worth noting that Muguna has received interest from DC Motema Pembe, who outwitted K'Ogalo in the preliminary stage of a two-leg CAF Confederation Cup in October.
