Following the deaths of XXXTentacion and Lil Peep in June 2018, Juice WRLD released a two-track EP titled 'Too Soon,' which included the song 'Legends.' In the song, he sang, 'They tell me I'm a legend / I don't want that title now / 'Cause all the legends seem to die out.'

Chance the Rapper called Juice WRLD 'a young legend' on Twitter, while Ellie Goulding, who collaborated with Juice WRLD on the song 'Hate Me,' wrote, 'You had so much further to go, you were just getting started.'

Interscope Records released a statement saying, 'Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time. He was a gentle soul whose creativity knew no bounds.'

Jarad A. Higgins, known professionally as Juice WRLD, was born in Chicago on December 2, 1998. He was raised by a single mother and developed a passion for music through childhood piano lessons and listening to local rappers like Kanye West and Chief Keef.

Throughout his career, Juice WRLD spoke openly about his struggles with substance abuse, including his exposure to prescription pills like Xanax and Percocet as a freshman in high school. He said in an interview, 'Drug use opens doors to feel emotions that you probably wouldn't usually feel, but it can destroy you — utterly destroy you.'
