Published on December 8, 2019, Kenyans have been sharing their thoughts on various issues affecting the country.

Sammy Munanu, for instance, is concerned about the high cost of the new plastic smart driving license. He notes that the cost of renewing a driving license was Sh1,650 for three years when the paper booklet was in use, but it has almost doubled to Sh3,050 since the introduction of the new plastic cards. Munanu suggests that the cost should be reduced or the card's validity extended.

Ruth Gituma, on the other hand, believes that Kenyans should learn from the best to improve their performance in executing major projects. She cites the example of foreign firms building roads in Nairobi, which are superior to those built by local firms. Gituma advises Kenyan contractors not to feel ashamed about learning from others.

Andrew Limo is also concerned about the graduation ceremony of the Kenya Medical Training College. He laments that the ceremony is held in Nairobi, causing logistical challenges and stress for both residents and visitors. Limo suggests that the ceremony should be devolved to the regions or individual counties where the various colleges are situated.

Lastly, Peter Waswa expresses his frustration with the bonus system in some companies. He notes that the targets are extremely high and continue to be raised as the year progresses, leaving many staff members out despite their contributions to the company's profitability. Waswa quips that it seems like slavery was not abolished in 1865.
