On Saturday night, rescue teams pulled out two more bodies from the rubble of the six-storey building that collapsed in Tassia estate, Nairobi, on Friday.
The Kenya Red Cross reported that another two survivors were rescued from the rubble on Sunday morning, bringing the total number of those rescued to 35.
The rescue operation has been ongoing since Friday, with the Kenya Defence Forces, the Kenya Red Cross, and the National Disaster Management Unit working together to try and rescue victims.
Despite constant rain since Friday, the team continues to drill through the narrow layers of concrete slab and shells of the storeys stacked on each other to rescue anyone still trapped in the rubble.
The Kenya Red Cross has stated that they are yet to account for 11 people who are feared to be still trapped in the rubble.
According to reports, the building had 57 units, with shops on its first floor.
