Kenya vs Tanzania: Harambee Stars Secure Victory with Abdalla Hassan's Goal ¶
Harambee Stars began their CECAFA Senior Championship campaign on a winning note, defeating Tanzania 1-0 in their Group B opener on Sunday, December 8, 2019.
Abdalla Hassan's solitary goal in the fourth minute proved to be the difference-maker, as Kenya dominated the opening exchanges of the match.
Bandari forward Abdalla Hassan scored the only goal of the game, taking a touch before firing the ball to the bottom left corner after Oscar Wamalwa's neat through ball.
With the win, Kenya sits atop Group B, ahead of Zanzibar and Sudan, who settled for a 1-1 draw.
Francis Kimanzi's charges will next face Sudan on Tuesday, December 10, with a win enough to see them progress to the knockout phases of the tournament.
Their final group match against Zanzibar has been slated for Saturday, December 14, with the top two teams in each group set to proceed to the semifinals.
