Published on December 8, 2019, a 27-year-old Kenyan man, Randy Skuse, was fatally stabbed during a birthday party in East London.

Following investigations by homicide detectives from Specialist Crime, Sahal Abi, a 26-year-old suspect, was arrested in Ipswich on Tuesday and charged with Skuse's murder.

Skuse, who worked at Britvic's factory in Beckton, died from a single stab wound, according to an autopsy report.

Three other men were also stabbed during the incident, but their injuries were not life-threatening, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Skuse's family described him as an 'innocent soul' who had been acting as a 'peacemaker' when he was killed.

His mother, Rahab Mugo, said, 'Going through this, I would never wish it on anyone. It's unbelievable. I keep hoping he's going to come home and open the door. It's hard. I still think I'm in a dream.'
