Tassia Building Collapse: Death Toll Rises as Rescue Efforts Continue

On Friday, a six-storey building in Tassia, Embakasi collapsed, claiming five lives and leaving over 20 people missing.

As of Sunday, disaster response teams had pulled out 18 people from the rubble, including a 25-year-old man and a girl, who were rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.

According to data compiled by the Red Cross, 24 people are still missing, and the rescue efforts continue.

Out of the 18 people rescued, 16 have been discharged from hospital, while the two who were rescued on Sunday are receiving treatment at the hospital.
