Published on December 8, 2019, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi dismissed the possibility of a parliamentary process for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) agenda.

According to Muturi, the BBI agenda belongs to the people, implying that any decisions regarding its implementation should be made by the public rather than through a parliamentary process.

His statement comes as a cautious approach by Deputy President William Ruto to calm tempers surrounding the BBI.
