On December 8, 2019, Deputy President William Ruto called on leaders from across the political divide to take a common stand on the implementation of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

Speaking in Nyandarua County, Ruto emphasized that he is solidly behind the report, which aims to bring Kenyans together, and urged other politicians to shun the politics of hatred and division.

Contrary to popular belief, Ruto stated that all leaders allied to the ruling Jubilee party are solidly behind the BBI, as they recognize its goal of ensuring the country remains united.

Several Jubilee legislators, led by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, backed Ruto's sentiments, stating that they will not oppose the recommendations of the BBI report as it is meant to take the country forward.

However, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula expressed concerns that the report's contents are inaccessible to many Kenyans, urging the government to print the report in both English and Kiswahili to maximize its reach.
