On December 8, 2019, Manchester United midfielder Fred was struck on the back of the head by an object thrown from the crowd during the Manchester derby.
The incident occurred in the 70th minute when Fred prepared to take a corner, and he was hit by what appeared to be a plastic bottle and a lighter.
Referee Anthony Taylor stopped play, and City midfielder Fernandinho was seen remonstrating with the supporters, urging them to behave.
Play was eventually allowed to continue with United leading 2-0.
Manchester United had taken the lead through a penalty scored by Marcus Rashford, who was fouled by Bernardo Silva, and a quickfire second goal from Anthony Martial.
Manchester City had gone into the clash 14 points adrift of Liverpool at the top of the table following their comfortable win over Bournemouth earlier in the day.
Fred had been a target for Manchester City before he made a £53m move to Old Trafford in 2018.
