On December 7, 2019, Liverpool made seven changes to their starting lineup but still secured a 3-0 win over Bournemouth, extending their Premier League lead to 11 points over Leicester City.

The visitors, who kept a clean sheet for the first time in 14 games, could afford to rest Sadio Mane against a side whose fifth successive defeat left them one point above the relegation zone.

The home cause was not helped by an injury to Nathan Ake, who limped off with a hamstring strain just before Liverpool took the lead.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the opening goal with a first-time volley after Jordan Henderson's superb crossfield pass.

Dejan Lovren hobbled off with a leg strain before halftime, but Liverpool continued to dominate and Naby Keita scored the second goal after a clever backheel from Mo Salah.

Keita returned the favour to set up Salah with a simple finish after the break, as Liverpool disappeared out of sight.

Callum Wilson also departed with a strain, capping an awful day for Bournemouth.

Curtis Jones, 18, made his league debut off the bench for Liverpool.
