December 7, 2019, marked a somber day for the Christian community as news of the passing of Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke spread.
Born in 1940, Bonnke dedicated his life to spreading the gospel, particularly in Africa, where he served as both an evangelist and a missionary since 1967.
His ministry, Christ For All Nations, which he founded in 1974, initially based in South Africa, later relocated to Frankfurt during the height of apartheid rule.
"It is with sorrow that the Bonnke Family would like to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 7, 2019," read the statement from his family.
