Kenya Sevens ended their Dubai 7s tournament on a high note, securing their first win in the 13th Place Play-Offs against Scotland on December 7, 2019.
The team had a dismal start to the HSBC Sevens Series, losing all their opening games in Pool D to South Africa, England, and Spain.
However, they bounced back in the 13th Place Play-Offs, with Andrew Amonde setting up Dan Sikuta for a try in the 7th minute, followed by another try in the second minute of injury time in the first half with Vincent Onyala dotting down a try.
Kenya maintained a 14-point lead throughout the game, with Johnstone Olindi scoring his third try of the tournament and Daniel Taabu adding the extras.
Alvin Otieno bagged his second try in Dubai, but Harvey Elms's try saw Scotland finish the game with 14 points.
Kenya's 13th place finish earned them four points in the tournament, as they prepare for the Cape Town 7s next week.
