On December 7, 2019, a tragic accident occurred at the Likoni Ferry Channel, claiming the life of John Mutinda. His wife, Rose Mueni, has since revealed the strange dream her husband had minutes before his death.
According to Mueni, Mutinda told her that he had a dream in which he received a call from his late father, instructing him to go to Mombasa's central business district, where they would meet.
Shocked by the dream, Mueni pleaded with her husband to join her in prayers and hid the car keys, hoping to prevent him from leaving. However, Mutinda managed to retrieve the keys after a brief search and dashed out of their home to meet his deceased father 'in town.'
He assured his wife that he would be back soon after meeting his father, but instead drove out at high speed, leading to the tragic accident.
As reported by a police officer present at the scene, Mueni arrived shortly after the incident and spent hours weeping uncontrollably on the shores of the channel upon learning of her husband's fate.
The account was supported by Mutinda's relative, Benedict Sila, who confirmed that the deceased had left home in a hurry after a dream that he was being called to a meeting in town by his late father.
