On a chilly Saturday morning, December 7, 2019, thousands of travellers were left stranded on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway after a massive traffic jam at Gilgil caused a huge gridlock.
The jam, which started on Friday evening, affected all lanes and caused significant delays, leaving many motorists to spend the night in their vehicles.
Some travellers blamed the police for not taking action in a timely manner to alleviate the situation.
