Mount Kenya University Rwanda Celebrates 17th Graduation ¶
On December 7, 2019, Mount Kenya University Rwanda held its 17th graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone for the institution.
Located in Kagarama, Rwanda, the university's campus was filled with graduates, friends, and family members who gathered to celebrate the occasion.
Among the 430 graduates who received their diplomas, bachelor's, and master's degrees were students from various fields, including education, health sciences, journalism, and mass communication.
Chancellor of Mount Kenya University, Prof John J. Struthers, congratulated the graduates and urged them to utilize the resources invested in them to transform their societies.
"Africa is dramatically improving in terms of higher education, that is to say, the job market is increasingly becoming competitive. It is up to you to strengthen yourselves and fit in," he said.
Emmanuel Murenzi and Didace Twagirayezu, members of the MKU Rwanda alumni, shared their experiences and encouraged the fresh graduates to wisely invest the knowledge acquired at the university.
Mount Kenya University Rwanda, which was inaugurated in 2010, is working towards becoming a fully-fledged university. The institution is committed to offering quality education and is investing in improving facilities to support the studying environment.
Graduates and officials celebrated the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the graduates.
Traditional dancers entertained the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.
