December 7, 2019, marked a significant day for Jamaican artiste Christopher Martin as he opened up about his hit song 'Cheaters prayer'.

The song, majorly associated with cheating, was written by Chris to express the emotions of men who at one point have lost control of their feelings.

Speaking during an exclusive interview, Chris clarified that the song was not about him, but rather a reflection of the day-to-day struggles many men face.

'That song was not about me. I was singing about what happens on a day to day basis,' Chris said.

He continued, 'As a man, you see a beautiful woman and you are in a relationship. Some of us stay away, but some have to say the prayer.'

Chris, a father of three, also shared his thoughts on fatherhood, stating that it has made him a more patient person.

'Fatherhood has made me patient. I love the whole experience, the feeling of coming home and finding them excited to see me back,' he said.

On his legacy, Chris expressed his desire to be remembered as a good artiste and a music ambassador worldwide.

Christopher Martin will be performing at the Ngong Racecourse alongside D Major and Future Fambo.
