On Friday, December 6, 2019, England soared to the top of Pool D in the Dubai Sevens with a convincing 12-5 win over Kenya's Shujaa team.

The match, played at the Dubai Sevens, saw England strike first when Lindsay Hague side-stepped his way to score under the posts in the third minute. Tom Emery converted the try, putting England 7-0 up at halftime.

Kenya coach Paul Feeney made a tactical switch, bringing on key players including skipper Andrew Amonde, Alvin Otieno, Nelson Oyoo, Jeffrey Oluoch, and Dan Sikuta in a bid to turn the game around.

However, England's substitute Biddy scored a crucial try in the 11th minute, with Emelly providing the pass after a hard fight. Emery missed the conversion, but the try sealed England's lead at 12-0.

Nelson Oloo eventually found the back of the net for Kenya, scoring a try from the 22-meter line. Daniel Taabu missed the extras, but the try narrowed the gap to 12-5.

The match ended with England securing a 12-5 victory, with Shujaa committing 15 fouls compared to England's 10. The Kenyan team will face Spain in their final Pool D match at 6:32 pm (EAT).
