Published on December 6, 2019, the Philippines' north has been hit by some of its worst flooding in decades, with torrential rains and Typhoon Kammuri forcing 66,000 residents from their homes.
Luzon island, the nation's largest, has been battered by a string of storms and intensified monsoon rains, causing widespread flooding and landslides.
According to local disaster authorities, the floodwaters have cut off roads to isolated towns and covered some bridges, but no deaths have been confirmed.
"This is one of the biggest floods in decades," said Rogelio Sending, information officer for Cagayan province in the northeast of Luzon.
The north of the country has experienced heavy rains for nearly a month as part of monsoon season, which was worsened by at least three typhoons that have passed the Philippines since November.
