On December 6, 2019, Trueblaq Limited was recognized as the top small and medium company in the Business Daily 2019 Top 100 SMEs Awards.
The company's CEO and founder, the late Kevin Ombajo, had been battling a brain tumour for six years before his passing two years ago.
Trueblaq, an events organizing and marketing firm, was established in 2001 and has since become the premier experiential marketing company in Kenya.
According to the company, Trueblaq was founded on the realization that there were many untapped experiential marketing opportunities in the region.
At the gala event, KPMG East Africa chief executive Benson Ndung'u noted that more than three quarters of small and medium-sized companies in Kenya are planning to hire more workers in the near future.
Trueblaq's chief executive officer, Jacqueline Ombajo, dedicated the award to her late brother and to God, and was also named as the 2019 CEO of the year.
