Building Collapse in Tasia, Embakasi East: Rescue Efforts Ongoing

Rescue efforts are underway in Tasia, Embakasi East after a six-storey building collapsed, leaving several people trapped in the rubble.

According to reports, two people have been confirmed dead, while 10 have been rescued so far.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has praised the government's swift response, particularly the presence of KDF soldiers at the scene.

It is reported that many of the tenants had been told to vacate the building early enough, but only 25 occupants were still occupying the building before it collapsed.

Among the first people to be rescued was a woman whose name is yet to be identified, she was removed from the rubble by residents.
