Published on December 6, 2019, Saudi Arabia will face Bahrain in the Arabian Gulf Cup final after a thrilling semi-final match.
Abdullah Al-Hamdan scored the winning goal for Saudi Arabia in the 28th minute, securing a 1-0 victory over hosts Qatar in the semi-finals on Thursday.
The Saudis withstood intense pressure from the Asian champions in the second half, ultimately reaching the final for the fourth time in the last six editions.
Meanwhile, Bahrain secured their spot in the final after defeating Iraq 5-3 in a penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw in the other semi-final.
Bahrain's Ali Madan scored the decisive spot kick, while Iraq's Mohamed Qasim Majid missed his attempt, handing Bahrain the win.
It was a dramatic match for Bahrain, who came from behind twice in the first half to level the score, thanks to goals from Abdullah Al-Haza'a and Mohamed Marhoon.
However, Iraq's Mohanad Ali and Ibrahim Bayesh had given their team an early lead.
