December 5, 2019, marked a dismal day for Arsenal as they suffered a 2-1 Premier League defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion. The loss extended the team's winless streak to nine games in all competitions, their longest since 1977.

Hector Bellerin, Arsenal's defender, struggled to find words to describe the team's performance, stating, "I have the feeling that whatever we do it doesn't come out right." He expressed his confidence that if the team continues to do what they're doing, the results will eventually come.

Bellerin also praised Freddie Ljungberg, who took over as interim coach after Unai Emery's dismissal, for lifting the team's spirits. "Football is like life sometimes, you go through ups and downs," he said. "Freddie has helped the team a lot this week. He has added a lot of energy to the dressing room."
