Bwari Ondima's story is one of near-death experience and self-discovery. At the beginning of the year, he vowed to complete his degree in industrial chemistry at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and also pursue his interests in modelling. However, his plans were derailed when he was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital for a disease that was difficult to diagnose. Despite the challenges he faced, Ondima remained proactive and determined to succeed.
Susan Nasimiyu's story is one of self-discovery and growth. Throughout her teenage years, she struggled with self-esteem and was often bullied at school. However, she vowed to change things and improve her appearance. Despite facing numerous challenges, including unhealthy relationships and depression, Nasimiyu remained determined to improve her situation and focus on the things that bring her joy.
Elijah Kiplimo's story is one of resilience and determination. Despite facing numerous challenges, including procrastination and self-doubt, Kiplimo remained determined to pursue his passions and interests. He started writing a script for a comic book he had always dreamed of writing and revived his interests in fashion design.
Despite not achieving their pre-2019 resolutions, these three individuals consider themselves conquerors. They have learned valuable lessons about resilience, growth, and determination, and are now better equipped to face the challenges of the new year.
