Introduction to Ewaso Ng'iro North Development Authority ¶
Established on 1st December 1989, the Ewaso Ng'iro North Development Authority (ENNDA) is a government parastatal responsible for promoting the development of the Ewaso Ng'iro North River Basin. The authority's headquarters are located in Isiolo, covering areas such as Isiolo, Meru, Laikipia, Wajir, Mandera, Nyandarua, Nyeri, and Samburu.

The Ewaso Ng'iro River passes through three counties: Laikipia, Isiolo, and Samburu, feeding into Lake Ol Bolossat.
Sub-Organisations of ENNDA ¶
ENNDA has established several sub-organisations to enhance its services. One notable example is the gum and resin processing factory in Wajir county, created to generate revenues, empower local communities, and create employment opportunities.

ENNDA offers various tender opportunities, including:
- Provision of insurance covers
- Production, supply, and delivery of staff uniform, protective gear, clothing, and riding gear
- Construction of proposed developments
- Construction of sub-organisation premises

Prequalification Requirements for ENNDA Tenders ¶
To apply for ENNDA tenders, firms must meet the following requirements:
- Have a positive net worth, ideally at least 1.5 times the proposed investment
- Be registered and have at least five years' experience offering similar services
Additionally, ENNDA tenders are restricted to groups certified with AGPO. Firms can apply for an AGPO certificate online to increase their chances of securing a tender.
Documents Required for ENNDA Tenders ¶
When applying for ENNDA tenders, firms must submit the following documents:
- A valid certificate of VAT compliance
- Certificate of incorporation
- Proof of mobilizing finances for project expansion up to 4 million Dollars
- Three years' audited financial statement
- Evidence of operating in similar conditions in developing countries
- Proof of a minimum annual profit of five million US Dollars
Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) ¶
Expression of interest for ENNDA tenders should be submitted as an original and two photocopies in a sealed envelope, marked as EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO WORK AT EWASO NG'IRO NORTH DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. The envelope should be posted to the Managing Director at P. O. Box 203-60300 Isiolo, Kenya, or deposited at the tender box found at the ENNDA office headquarters.
