Reacting to a recent article by The Standard, Ruto took to Twitter to express his views, saying, "Enemy NOWAY? Good people I have no enemies because there is no need for baggage. Competitors yes!! That’s the richness of democracy we should celebrate."

His statement elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans on Twitter, with some disagreeing with his stance. The two leaders are expected to face off in the 2022 presidential contest, with Odinga branding Ruto a corrupt leader and Ruto labeling Odinga a ‘witchdoctor’ in recent years.
