Published on December 6, 2019, a shocking story emerged of a woman whose husband landed in Kamiti prison after defaulting on a Ksh 3.5 million loan he took to fund their wedding.
The woman, who spoke to Maina Kageni, revealed that her husband had borrowed the large sum of money to ensure she had her dream wedding, but unfortunately, he defaulted on the loan.
She also bragged about having moved on with her life, stating that her husband deserves to rot in jail for his actions.
According to the woman, her husband had taken a loan of Sh 3.5 million, yet their wedding was only Sh 700,000. She claimed that she had no idea where the rest of the money went.
However, things took a turn for the worse when auctioneers came for the family's property, and her husband was arrested and taken to Kamiti prison.
Fortunately for her, everything her husband had bought had been written under her name, which is why she was able to escape the auctioneers and avoid being arrested.

She also expressed her frustration with her husband's actions, saying, 'I was in such shock, let him stay there he brought this on himself. I don’t know where the money went, I don’t visit him. I have moved on with my life, men like showing off, where is the rest of the money? There is no way I can visit him in Kamiti.'
