On December 6, 2019, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) made a significant commitment to support the government's policy of allocating 30 per cent of State tenders to special groups.

KNCCI President Richard Ngatia emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, 'We must now focus on the youth and see how we create jobs and ensure women inclusion in business.'

Ngatia made this statement during the inaugural national Kenya Business Awards in Nairobi, where Mucho Mangos won the Small and Medium Enterprises of the Year Award.

Trade and Industrialisation Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya highlighted the significance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the country, noting that they account for about 80 per cent of all enterprises and employ two-thirds of the population.

Munya also announced that Kenya has attracted Foreign Direct Investments worth Sh300 billion this year alone.
