Real Madrid's pursuit of Paul Pogba has been ongoing for months, with the Manchester United star continuing to angle for a move away from Old Trafford.
However, the transfer has been stalled due to the significant difference in the valuation of Pogba's services by both clubs.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is unwilling to meet Manchester United's £180m price tag for Pogba, with a cut-price deal of £50m being the maximum he is willing to pay.
This is a significant reduction from the £180m that Manchester United were initially demanding, and it is unlikely to persuade the Red Devils to part ways with their star attraction.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has consistently stated that Pogba is committed to the club and has no intention of leaving, despite the speculation surrounding his future.
However, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane remains extremely interested in signing Pogba and is reportedly willing to break the bank to bring him to the club.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Manchester United are unlikely to sell Pogba to Real Madrid for a cut-price deal, and the transfer remains a long shot at this point.
