On Thursday, Zambia secured a 2-1 win over Kenya in the third place playoff at the M-Pesa Foundation Academy in Thika, finishing fourth in this year's Copa Coca Cola Under 16 Africa Cup.

Kenya's Elisha Joel scored a consolation goal in the sixth minute, but Sifue Kuse's brace in the third and ninth minutes sealed the win for Zambia.

Kenya's disappointing finish marked a significant slump for the hosts, who had won the inaugural edition of the tournament last year in Nakuru.

Coach Daniel Lenjo reflected on the experience, saying, "We didn't get what we expected but the experience gained is a plus. We will go back to the drawing board and hopefully recapture the title next year."

Meanwhile, Zambia's coach Weluzani Zulu expressed satisfaction with the third-place finish, stating, "We leave like winners because we are now one step closer to getting the title. We'll be back next year with a more confident approach toward the competition."
