On December 5, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2019, a move that will see Ksh 73.4 billion released to fund various government services and projects up to June 30, 2020.
The Bill, which was presented to the President by National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, was passed by Parliament the previous day.
During the signing ceremony, key officials in attendance included National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, Acting National Treasury CS Ukur Yatani, Attorney General Paul Kihara, National Assembly Clerk Michael Sialai, and State House Deputy Chief of Staff Njee Muturi.
