Kenyan artiste Akothee has spoken out about the reasons behind the breakdown of her past marriages, sharing a candid account of the pain and rejection she endured.

On her social media, Akothee revealed that she was left by her husbands due to various reasons, including infidelity and a desire for a child without commitment.

She recalled the painful words of one of her ex-partners, who told her to 'go back to Africa' and that he had 'no time, energy, or family to take care of' her.

Akothee also shared how she was thrown out of Switzerland while heavily pregnant, and how she was advised by some people to seek sympathy or report her ex-partner to the authorities.

However, she chose to return to Africa, join her children, and live a life of strength and resilience.

She added that during that tough period, some people were jealous of her and thought she was living a better life than them, but little did they know the pain of rejection she was going through.

Akothee concluded by saying that everyone's journey is unique, and that the key to overcoming challenges is to be strong and resilient.
