On December 4, a Toyota Land Cruiser (Reg. No. GKA 024V) belonging to the transport pool at Jogoo House went missing from the government parking yard at Shauri Moyo station.
According to police, the vehicle had been parked at the SGB Police Line Shauri Moyo since October 4, 2019, and was reported missing two months later.
After a thorough investigation, detectives discovered the vehicle in Mwingi, with the help of one suspect who led them to the location.
‘The vehicle is currently being driven back to Nairobi Area police headquarters,’ said Flying Squad boss Musa Yego.
One Administration Police officer has since been arrested in connection with the theft.
Further investigations are ongoing, with reports indicating that the search is on for suspected accomplices.
