Residents of Nakuru Town West are up in arms against their MP, Samuel Arama, over his decision to divert a crucial development project meant for the expansion of Kapkures Level 4 Hospital into a stadium.

According to sources, the parcel of land adjacent to the area deputy county Commissioner's office was earmarked for the hospital expansion, but Arama has other plans.

Deputy President William Ruto had last year promised that Sh100 million would be released by the government for the expansion of Kapkures Hospital during his tour in Nakuru West.

However, residents led by Erick Ogada are now planning to hold peaceful demonstrations to force Arama to reconsider his decision and ensure public participation in the development process.

As the residents prepare to take to the streets, they are also accusing the Nakuru Town West NG-CDF of neglecting schools and only focusing on perimeter walls, as seen at Mogoon Primary School.
