Christmas has come early for music lovers in Kenya, courtesy of gospel turned secular artiste Ivlyn Mutua. Released exclusively on Songa, her first album under Taurus Music, '12 Beats Of Christmas', is a gift to her fans.
Ever since Ivlyn Mutua made the bold decision to leave gospel music behind, she has been serving up amazing music to her fans. Signed under Taurus Music, she has chosen to share her latest project with them, featuring a combination of original and cover songs.
According to an interview with Kiss100, Ivlyn Mutua explained the concept behind her album, saying,
“We borrowed the concept from the 12 days of Christmas. I chose to interpret that in my own way, so there is a song for every day till Christmas.”
She added, “We have released the whole album and then people will get to bond with the music as they go. Every song is different and it talks to different people. The way we’ve arranged the album, it goes from party mood all the way to Christmas.”
