On December 4, 2019, a seminar was held in Eldoret, bringing together top athletes to educate them on anti-doping and how to maintain their careers.

World marathon record holders Eliud Kipchoge and Brigid Kosgei, along with world 800m record holder David Rudisha, were among the athletes in attendance.

The conference, organized by Athletics Kenya, aimed to educate athletes on the dangers of doping and how to avoid it.

Paul Mutwii, AK's senior vice president in charge of competitions, emphasized the importance of proper education and awareness in preventing doping.

“Athletics is a career that benefits many people, and because of that, there is a need for education and awareness,” Mutwii said.

The conference also covered topics such as seeking treatment from authorized doctors to avoid being doped innocently.

Elite athletes like Rudisha encouraged upcoming talents to join hands in the fight against doping and to learn from their seniors on issues related to the sport.
