Published on December 5, 2019, Forbes has recognized Kenyan-born DJ Ivy Awino as one of the world's brightest and youngest stars in the sports world.
At just 28 years old, Ivy Awino has made a name for herself in the DJing world, starting at the age of 19 while in college. Born in Kenya, Ivy moved to the US with her family at the age of five and has been making waves in the entertainment industry ever since.
As the official team entertainment manager for the Dallas Mavericks, Ivy Awino was listed alongside other notable young stars, including Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner and Team USA figure skater Nathan Chen.
When asked about her achievement, Ivy Awino captioned a photo of herself saying, 'I'm just here to make my mama and Kenya proud.'
Earlier this year, Ivy Awino bagged the Best DJ in East Africa Award at the Afrika Muzik Magazine Awards held in Texas in October.
