On November 13th, Pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism narrowly escaped injury after his luxury car was involved in a road accident on the Nairobi-Namanga highway.

According to Rift Valley Police Commander Mercus Ocholla, Ng'ang'a was behind the wheel when the car crashed into a lorry, but he was not hurt. The vehicle was towed to a nearby police station for further investigation.

“Mr Ng'ang'a was involved in an accident which left his car damaged on the highway. He later reported the matter to the police,” said Ocholla.

Ng'ang'a had recently acquired the brand new Lexus LX 570 model, which he described as his dream car in a video dated November 15th.

However, this is not the first time Ng'ang'a has been involved in a road accident. In 2015, he was arraigned and charged with hitting and killing a woman with his car along Nairobi-Naivasha highway.

Ng'ang'a denied all the charges, which included failing to report the accident and giving false information to a police officer. He also faced a count of conspiring to defeat justice.

Although Ng'ang'a was acquitted by Nakuru Chief Magistrate Godfrey Oduor last year, the Director of Public Prosecution challenged the ruling and was allowed to appeal. The appeal is still pending in court.
