On November 18, 2019, Cytonn Real Estate made history by being named the most innovative community developer (mixed use) in Kenya during the International Finance Awards.
The award, which recognizes excellence in the residential and commercial property space in emerging markets, was presented to Cytonn for its mixed-use property, The Alma, located in Kiambu County.
The Alma project features a retail centre, gym, swimming pool, nursery school, and gardens, among other amenities, making it a self-sufficient development that meets the needs of its residents.
According to Daniel Mainye, a manager at Cytonn, the company's goal was to create a comprehensive and well-designed development that brings everything closer to its residents.
Cytonn's The Alma project was chosen from among several other notable projects, including Amara Ridge in Karen, The Ridge, RiverRun, Taraji Heights, Applewood, and NewTown.
The company is currently running property developments worth a total of Sh82 billion.
Questworks Limited, another Kenyan company, was also recognized at the awards ceremony, being named the best real estate contractor by the magazine.
