On 26 November 2019, clinical officer Paul Kyoko Nzoka went missing, prompting his wife to report him missing to the police on 30 November 2019.

Following forensic leads, a search for the late clinical officer commenced, and the suspects were eventually arrested by DCI Matuu Detectives.

Bernard Mang'ong'o, a nurse at Ikombe Level 2 Hospital, was believed to have assisted in eliminating the body, which is thought to have been disposed of in River Athi.

The suspects were arraigned at Kithimani Principal Magistrate's Court on 4 December 2019 and will be detained for another 28 days to allow for further investigations.
