On December 4, 2019, Cytonn Real Estate, the development affiliate of Cytonn Investments, was awarded the Most Innovative Community Developer in Kenya (Mixed-Use) in 2019.
The prestigious award by International Finance is Cytonn Real Estate's second this year, following the Best Real Estate Developer in Kenya award won in September 2019.
The award recognizes Cytonn Real Estate's 500-unit mega project, The Alma, in Ruaka town, Kiambu county, which is a comprehensive development that provides an enriched living environment for its residents.
According to Yvonne Ondego, the project manager of The Alma, there is a great need for developments that have a wide range of utility, such as proximity to key social amenities like schools, shopping malls, and hospitals.
"Comprehensive developments have been growing in popularity because they provide an enriched living environment that caters to all the needs of their residents," she said.
The Alma is a mixed-use development that combines residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality spaces, making it a self-sufficient community where residents can live, work, and access entertainment facilities without having to leave the development.
