Kasipul MP Embroiled in Disappearance of Woman Who Vanished Nine Years Ago

Kasipul MP Ongondo Were is at the center of a mystery surrounding the disappearance of a woman nine years ago.

According to her mother, 63-year-old Grace Adongo, Dotty Apondi vanished in 2010 while staying in Were's home in Meru, where she had gone to seek employment in the hotel industry.

Adongo, a former employee at Chemelil Sugar Company, claims her daughter was promised employment by Were, but later vanished from the room where she was accommodated.

Were has dismissed claims that he knows something about Apondi's disappearance, saying the matter should be handled by the DCI, who are competent to deal with it.

Adongo has appealed to the Director of Criminal Investigations and the Director of Public Prosecutions to assist her locate the whereabouts of Apondi, who was 35 years old at the time of her disappearance.
