On December 4, 2019, Co-operative Bank made a significant move in response to customer demands by scrapping account balance enquiry charges.
This decision is expected to allow customers to record more savings, as they will no longer incur charges for checking their account balances.
According to the bank, this move is part of their efforts to provide customers with convenient and affordable banking services.
Co-operative Bank has emerged as the leading mobile banking services provider, with 89% of customer transactions being conducted through mobile banking, a 24-hour contact centre, ATMs, internet banking, and thousands of Co-op Kwa Jirani banking agents.
During the current festive season, Kenyans can easily access banking services through channels such as M-Coop Cash, a banking app operated by Co-op Bank, which has over 4.7 million registered customers.
Co-operative Bank also offers alternative digital banking tools and channels, including Co-op Bank agency banking (Co-op Kwa Jirani) and the Co-op Bank's Internet Banking platform.
