Published on December 4, 2019, Eric Omondi and Njoroge are highly-regarded comedians in Kenya's entertainment industry.

With their unique styles and passion for their craft, they have redefined advertisements and left audiences in stitches whenever they appear on screen.

From dressing up as women to showcase their creativity, to sharing their experiences of being paid in sodas and food when starting out, Eric Omondi and Njoroge have come a long way in their careers.

Eric Omondi, in a recent interview, shared his journey to stardom, highlighting the challenges he faced and the lessons he learned along the way.

COMEDY HAS REALLY EVOLVED. I STARTED DOING COMEDY AT WEDDINGS AND IN CHURCHES. WE WERE PAID USING SODAS AND FOOD. THAT WOULD BE OUR PAY, OUR CONTRACT. THEN IT MOVED TO VERY LITTLE MONEY. THAT’S WHY I THINK MY HEROES ARE THE FORMER COMEDIANS, THE OLDER GUYS, VITIMBI CREW (MZEE OJWANG, MAMA KAYAI, NGOMONGO ETC) BECAUSE THEY’RE OUR FREEDOM FIGHTERS

Njoroge, who has played a househelp in the popular dramedy Auntie Boss, has also shared his experiences, including his first role in the Merchant of Venice, where he was paid Sh250.

Other male celebrities who have cross-dressed include Shaniqwa, Peter Junior Nyong'o, Chipukeezy, and Chimano.
