On Tuesday last week, Renny Rono, a Kericho bodybuilder, passed away after a long battle with an unknown ailment that caused his muscles to swell in an unusual manner.
According to gospel artiste Fay Tall, who has been running campaigns to save Renny, doctors who attended to him did not conclude that he died of Synthol injection.
As reported by Fay, Renny's situation worsened over time, with the swellings increasing in size and spreading, and he even developed bed sores. Despite medical treatment, no medication worked for him, and he was expected to undergo a reduction surgery but sadly did not manage.
Fay has appealed to the public to support Renny's family in settling his bills and giving him a befitting burial. His burial is scheduled for this Saturday at his home in Chemosot, Bureti constituency, Kericho County.
