On Tuesday, ODM Party leader Raila Odinga hosted Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru for a meeting at his office in Nairobi's Capitol Hill.
According to Waiguru, the two leaders discussed 'national cohesion and inclusivity,' with a focus on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
Waiguru noted that they deliberated on the spirit of the handshake and its intention to move the nation towards a better future.
"We deliberated on the spirit of the handshake and its intention to move this nation to a better future through the BBI. A cohesive Nation and one in harmony can never go wrong," Waiguru said.
This is not the first time the two leaders, who were previously fierce political enemies, have held a private meeting.
As reported earlier, Odinga and Waiguru previously met in November 2018, where they settled their political differences and buried the hatchet 'in the spirit of the handshake.'
